14th February 2015, Saturday:
Had reunion dinner with my maternal family at a tze-char stall near my house!
Reunion
dinner with my maternal family every year has always been rather
awkward cause I'm not close with my uncle / aunt / cousin which I only
see twice a year (reunion dinner & first day of cny) To add
on, I think I haven't spoken with my cousins before cause we have
totally no common topic / nothing to talk about? One of them is going
poly year 1 and the other is going Sec1 this year. Generation gap + no
communication = not close LOL. Anyway, the food made everything better.
The must-have for every reunion dinner: Yusheng
In
my heart every year when I 捞鱼生, I will list down all my wishes. Every
year it would more or less be the same: 开开心心,事事顺利, don't stress so much
in Year 3 (haha!)
After yusheng, came the other dishes! :)
Presenting my 2 favourite dishes of the reunion dinner:
咸蛋虾
麦片虾
It's so nice omg, I actually ate the head and the shell (everything). ♥♥
I could eat a million of it. And on the other side of the table I saw
my cousins removing the shell and placing it all on a separate plate.
What's the point of eating the salted egg / cereal prawn when you remove
the shell and you can't taste the salted egg / cereal? LOL. 浪费 ~

Had reunion dinner with my paternal family at my aunt's place!
Once I reached my aunt's place, I went into the kitchen to see what I can help with, haha. Even thought I can't cook, but I like the feeling of being 'busy' / helping in the kitchen cause it gives me the CNY feel and atmosphere. :)
All the yummy food ~

19th February 2015, Thursday:
大年初一!
Went to my maternal grandparent's house in the late morning. As mentioned before, I'm not close to my relatives from my maternal side because we only meet once a year. So basically 我just跟我的grandparents 拜年, received red packets from the relatives and sat one side watch tv.
Came across this photo taken with my uncle and bro when we were younger. I'm the one on the left!
In the afternoon, we went to my paternal grandmother's house and we spent the rest of the day there eating and playing with my nephews and niece.
A family photo using the selfie stick before going up to grandma's house!

My aunt wanted to take photos so...
That marks the end of my CNY visiting!
